Why Mediation?
Why Mediation?
In a culture where the courtroom seems like the go-to means of “getting justice” when issues, disagreements, or conflicts arise between individuals, filing a lawsuit is not always the best use of money and energy, especially when the conflict is between neighbors, roommates, or family, and the sought-after result is not necessarily monetary reimbursement or restitution.
Mediation is also an appropriate means of handling disputes with the Board or management company of your development.
How does mediation work?
During mediation, the mediator does not take sides or represent one of the parties. Instead, the mediator helps the parties work towards an agreement that works for everyone, and that everyone agrees will let them move forward, leaving the problem behind them.
